1. Data controller
Decentralized Leadership and Technologies Association (“DeLTA”), Via Luigi Vanvitelli 46, 20129 Milano (MI), Italia. Tax code (codice fiscale): 98023220159.
Contact: info@deltapolimi.org.
2. What data we collect and why
Team application form. If you apply to join the DeLTA team through our Google Form, we collect the data you enter (such as name, email, course of study and your answers) to evaluate your application, contact you about it and, if you join, organise the team's work. Legal basis: steps taken at your request and your participation in the association (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Internal statistics. We use application data in aggregate form (e.g. how many applicants per course of study) to organise our activities. No individual profiling or automated decisions are carried out. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in organising the association (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Contact form and email. If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we use your name, email and message only to reply to you. Legal basis: steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Browsing. Our hosting provider processes technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the website and protect it from abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Cookies and local storage
This website does not use profiling or advertising cookies. It saves your light/dark theme choice in your browser (local storage); this is strictly technical and never leaves your device.
The application form is hosted by Google, which may use its own cookies: see Google’s privacy policy.
4. Who processes the data for us
We use these services, which act as data processors:
- Google (Google Forms, Gmail): application form and email inbox.
- Web3Forms: forwards the contact form to our email.
- Cloudflare: website hosting and email forwarding for info@deltapolimi.org.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union. In that case the transfer relies on the safeguards they provide, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Inside DeLTA, only the board members and team leads who evaluate applications or coordinate the team can access your data. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
5. How long we keep it
Application data: for as long as you are part of the team. Once a year, at the start of each academic year, we delete the data of applicants who did not join and of people who have left the team, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Contact messages: for as long as needed to handle your request, and no longer than 24 months; we delete older messages during the same yearly review.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format (Articles 15–21 GDPR). Write to info@deltapolimi.org.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it).
7. Is providing data mandatory?
No. However, without the data requested in the forms we cannot evaluate your application or reply to your message.
